RISE AND SHINEWe’re proud to share that the theatrical motion picture RISE AND SHINE has completed post production and has been submitted to Sundance!The film stars Rachel Bay Jones (the triple threat Emmy/Tony/Grammy-winning actor of DEAR EVAN HANDSON and YOUNG SHELDON), Danny Burstein (TOKYO VICE, JULIA) and introduces Ana Sharp, a young actor with cerebral palsy playing the lead role of Terri.Voyage produced the film alongside the non-profit Just Like You Films and Low Road Films. The film is directed by Laura Somers (RICH KIDS). The movie is based on a book, the screenplay written through Voyage, and a Voyage podcast episode. DARBY THE HORSEHats off to a Voyage client, Margaret Combs, whose project ‘Darby the Horse’ is now a Voyage Original. Margaret first approached Voyage with her original book and was paired with producer Chris Leitch and writer Jonathan Rosenthal.Together, the team crafted a poignant Family Drama Series, inspired by Margaret’s book, about a father and son, both veterans dealing with PTSD and addiction, as they seek recovery and healing through horse training on a Texas ranch. Their powerful story comes to life in a teleplay script and a series bible that Chris Leitch is now set to shop.
