ABOUT ME:
Juan M. Borbolla, born in Mexico City, is seasoned executive producer and writer in the Mexican entertainment industry with more than 25 years of experience. He spent the last year producing three TV series and two features; CADA MINUTO CUENTA (2024) the highest
budgeted TV series in Latam for Prime Video about the 1985 terrifying mexican earthquake, JUMP START MY HEART (2024) a Romcom about a new love for a widower, also for Prime video
and 90 MINUTES (2024) about street soccer for Telemundo and the features; NOCHE DE BODAS
(2024) for Videocine and VIX and LOVE ME IN THE FUTURE (2024) for Prime Video.

In 2022 he developed BANDIDOS (2024) for Netflix. A TV series about adventure and lost treasures. He is currently focused on Spanish language features and series for the Latam market and Spain.

Back in 2003 Juan was appointed as Warner Bros. Pictures managing director for the Mexico’s theatrical distribution and local production where he produced several films for the studio and released more than 200 films. Then, as independent executive producer, made several feature
films like YOU’VE GOT THIS (2020) for Netflix, TANGOS TEQUILAS AND SOME LIES (2023), for Sony Pictures International and created and produced the TV series DOS LUNAS (2014) for Fox
Channels.

As a passionate storyteller Juan has has been focused on finding and developing stories for the Mexican entertainment market.
