About Me:
Over the course of twenty years as a development executive, studio reader, and writing coach/editor, Bonnie Solomon has analyzed thousands of stories and coached dozens of screenwriters and novelists, from aspiring amateurs to A-level professionals. Consistently recognized for her creative ideas and insightful analysis, she has become an indispensable member of the development team at DREAMWORKS ANIMATION, where, as a studio reader, she is responsible for reading and writing detailed coverage on all screenplay and manuscript submissions, as well as providing notes on project drafts in development.

As a creative executive for WALDEN MEDIA, Bonnie managed a slate of 10+ feature projects including the science fiction classics CITY OF EMBER and THE LOTUS CAVES. Her myriad of responsibilities included draft notes, talent lists, casting decisions, selects reels, dailies review and all creative concerns from development through post-production. She evaluated a high volume of incoming submissions, pitches, takes and talent meetings, and worked intimately with writers and directors to define, refine, and get the green-light on projects in development.
Bonnie enjoys working one-on-one with writers to develop and improve their novels, screenplays, and television pilots – including mentoring storytellers who are just getting started (or ready to revise) and seeking help in creating a marketable project. One-on-one coaching is catered to each individual and can range from book and screenplay outlines to draft notes to strategic advice upon completion. While she works in several genres, she has a particular affinity for inspirational content and creative storytelling that offers timely social commentary, promotes higher consciousness, or presents a twist on traditionally accepted views of reality, as well as unique family fare.
