Logline: When an evil sorceress attempts to sacrifice a baby for a spell, her sentient spell book comes to the rescue, shepherding the child to safety and leading a rag-tag group of rebels in stopping the sorceress' plans.  We are excited to announce Voyage client Kathy Frase's adventure fantasy project, 'FIRETHORNE,' as the newest Original to come from our PP Story and B2S Screenplay Program. With the creative talents of producer Bryan Taw and writer Steven Darancette, Kathy has crafted an enthralling animated feature screenplay. 'FIRETHORNE' tells the tale of a sentient spell book that saves a baby from an evil sorceress and leads a group of rebels to stop her nefarious plans. Bryan is now set to bring this imaginative project to market.

Logline: College sweethearts break-up, only to meet again twenty years later. Can they rekindle their romance and blend their families together? Based on a heartwarming true story.

Logline: An eighteen year-old high school graduate, with aspirations of joining the military, becomes embroiled in a relationship with a late-20's waitress who is the witness to a mob murder.

Logline: We follow the Johnson family bible as it moves through the generations from the 1700s to the present day and bears witness to colorful and provocative family stories.

Logline: When Angelo Demarco was shipped off to Europe to fight in World War II, he never could have fathomed the challenges that awaited him. Despite falling ill with malaria, being on the front lines of combat, becoming a prisoner of war and escaping the clutches of the Germans, Demarco finds his way back to his family in the United States.

Logline: After she is embarrassed and left at the altar, designer Samantha leaves Chicago for her grandmother’s small town. Samantha reinvents herself in the country, and restores a local property, butting heads with local farmer Landon, a man she is destined to fall in love with. Based on a novel by Betty Lowrey.

Feature by Sylvia Harris in collaboration with Voyage Producer Jesse Israel, and written by Dmitry Portnoy (SAINT JUDY). Logline: An African-American woman who has struggled for years with mental illness and homelessness becomes the first black female horse racing jockey to win a major race.

Feature Film by Joe Putnam, in partnership with Voyage producer Aaron Mendelsohn. Logline: Two young scientists living in St. Petersburg, Russia, rescue a baby ringed seal named Hita, facing certain death. Against amazing odds—environmental, social, financial and political— they not only saved Hita, but established and influenced rescue operations for an entire species.

Logline: A law that gives doctors the ability to declare a person dead when brain activity has ceased causes family turmoil, forcing a young mother to decide whether or not to donate her daughter’s organs. 

Rising through the ranks of our Book-to-Screen program, Marilu had one of our producers and screenwriters adapt her award winning book and true story into a 1-HR TV drama. We also worked with Marilu to create a stunning visual pitch look-book, which helped the project be picked up by two successful showrunners! The project is now being shopped around to TV networks as a Voyage Original. Logline: When a sheltered but desperate woman reluctantly decides to divorce her wealthy husband in 1950's America, her only option is to move to Reno and spend six weeks at a “divorce ranch,” which is filled with all kinds of fascinating, troubled, and dangerous characters.
