Rise and Shine

RISE AND SHINE is a coming-of-age tale, based on the true story of Janice and Terri Steele.  Janice brought us the story of her daughter Terri, a remarkable teenager with cerebral palsy who did not allow her disability to get in the way of her ambitions.

The film stars Rachel Bay Jones (the triple threat  Emmy/Tony/Grammy-winning actor of DEAR EVAN HANDSON and YOUNG SHELDON), Danny Burstein (TOKYO VICE, JULIA) and introduces Ana Sharp, a young actor with cerebral palsy playing the lead role of Terri. 

Voyage produced the film alongside the non-profit Just Like You Films and Low Road Films. The film is directed by Laura Somers (RICH KIDS). The movie is based on a book, the screenplay written through Voyage, and a Voyage podcast episode.
