ABOUT ME:
Brian McLaughlin has built a notable career in the entertainment industry that spans back to 2005. He has produced several feature films, all acquired for distribution, and has developed many other projects that he is actively shopping around to studios, streaming platforms, and major production companies. Notably, two of Brian’s films, the suspense thriller GOOD BOY directed by Patrick Roddy and the coming-of-age drama D*I*Y directed by Derek Griffith and Jill Baker, are currently available on Amazon Prime Video. Among his ongoing projects are the military true story TIGER ZERO THREE, the sci-fi SCYLLA DILEMMA (a PAGE Awards quarterfinalist), the crime thriller OASIS (a Nicholl Fellowship semifinalist), and the memoir adaptation drama SANTIAGO’S CHILDREN. Brian has also ventured into television production and recently developed the comedy TV series SIBLINGS, which he has successfully pitched to ABC.

In addition to his work as a producer in film and television, Brian McLaughlin has held prominent positions as a department head on several TV series, including THE OTHER BLACK GIRL, AMERICAN HORROR STORIES, CRANK YANKERS, and THE CHASE. These shows have graced platforms such as Hulu, FX, Disney, Comedy Central, ABC, and ITV America. Brian takes pride in his membership with the Producers Guild of America and has actively contributed to various committees within the organization, including Diversity, Asian American and Pacific Islander, Education, and Mentoring. His achievements and contributions were recognized through a three-page feature in the PGA’s Produced By magazine.

Brian’s commitment to mentorship and education is evident through his role as a mentor in the Producers Guild’s Diversity Workshop. He is also an esteemed member of Imagine Entertainment’s invitation-only Impact Community, a highly selective group chosen from a pool of 20,000 applicants. His passion for teaching extends to his role as a visiting film producer at the University of Notre Dame, where he has imparted knowledge in producing, screenwriting, and advanced filmmaking. Furthermore, he has shared his expertise in business courses at the Los Angeles Film School.

Beyond his contributions to the entertainment industry, Brian McLaughlin has embarked on unique experiences. These include serving as the media production advisor to General Petraeus in Afghanistan, where he produced documentary short films with Afghan crew members across the country. As a former Army major with experience commanding a paratrooper unit and serving in Afghanistan in special operations, he actively participates in Veterans in Media and Entertainment. Brian holds an undergraduate business degree from Notre Dame and an MBA from Boston University. Notre Dame recognized his achievements with the Exemplary Asian Pacific Alumni Award, and his work has been featured in prominent industry publications such as The Hollywood Reporter and Produced By magazine.
